Death by Execution

Y’all, my heart hurts so much tonight. If mine is this bad, I can’t imagine his loved ones. Tonight, in Missouri, Walter Barton was executed even though not only he, but experts as well as other attorneys and relatives of the victim believed he was innocent. Evidence leaned more towards him being innocent.  Missouri is the first state to execute a prisoner during the pandemic. Even TEXAS stayed FIVE executions. Ohio. Tennessee.  The last execution before the pandemic was Nathaniel Woods on March 5th here in Alabama. And still he has many professionals on the justice system saying he’s innocent. If interested, I’ll let you Google that on your own. Walter Barton, killed by the State of Missouri, was convicted by a spot of blood on his clothes. The victim was found in a pool of blood.  Please pray for the family, attorneys, everyone involved in Walter Barton’s case and execution. Maybe someday they will require a guarantee of guilt by DNA before taking a life.

But it’s impossible not to wake up happy and joyful (albeit while grudgingly stumbling to my keurig) with that smile and zest for life. Today he was super awesome while I worked a new and later schedule. Which I’m not a fan of but I’m just grateful and thankful to be working.  This evening we played Candy Land four times. I only became Queen Kandy once y’all. I didn’t even let him win! The stinker. Then I asked him to do some yoga stretches with me during quiet time and he got so upset! He didn’t want to tell me why. Eventually I convinced him he can tell me anything. It took a while. Apparently he was upset because he didn’t want to stretch, but he thought he’d get in trouble for telling me. Poor kid. Obviously I pointed out all the things he can tell me. That I’m being mean (I tend to ha
